CAMP INNOVATION Summer Break 2018 / 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Arizona Science Center’s CAMP INNOVATION provides informal STEM–based programs featuring fun and engaging science exploration. CAMP INNOVATION runs May 30-August 3, 2018 for Pre-K – 9th grade campers. Five different weekly themes are presented during two sessions, May / June & July / August. Need Early Drop-off and/or Late Pick-up? Early Drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and Late Pick-up ends at 6 p.m.
Available for $15 a day, or $60 a week.

Our Watery World

Week 4 | June 18–22

Explore underwater technology. Campers will imagine how human life can be adapted to the ocean floor, learning from the scientists exploring underwater farming, floating cities, and self-sustaining ocean biodomes.

Future Cities

Week 5 | June 25–29

Study sustainable biomaterials. Act as the scientists, architects, engineers, and builders who work together to build smarter and more efficient buildings that will serve the needs of future cities and towns.

Future Transportation

Week 6 | July 2–6* (CANCELLED)

*Four-day week, in observance of Independence Day

Campers will study car tech. Right now, there are more than one billion vehicles crisscrossing the globe. Learn from experts what’s next in car technology, from the invention of the wheel to self-driving cars.

It IS Rocket Science

Week 7 | July 9–13

Investigate the science of propulsion. Campers will play, make, and observe the engineering principles behind man-made and natural phenomena like rockets, jet engines, waterfalls, and even jellyfish.

Junior Veterinarian

Week 8 | July 16–20

Learn the basics of veterinary medicine. Campers will meet experts, live animals, and learn about veterinary technician careers. From hawks to snakes to pet cats, there’s a lot humans can do to help our animal friends.
