Halloween Peanut Butter Spider Cookies

These little spooky treats are sure to delight the taste buds!

Ingredients:
– 1/2 CUP SHORTENING
– 1/2 CUP PEANUT BUTTER
– 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
– 1/2 CUP SUGAR
– 1 EGG
– 2 TBSP MILK
– 1 TSP VANILLA
– 1-3/4 CUP FLOUR
– 1 TSP BAKING SODA
– 1/2 TSP SALT
– 1/4 CUP SUGAR (FOR ROLLING)
– 48 MINATURE REESE’S CUPS
(UNWRAPPED & FROZEN)
– 96 CANDY EYES
– 1/2 CUP CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Directions:
1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES.
2. BEAT TOGETHER SHORTENING, PEANUT BUTTER, EGG, SUGAR, BROWN
SUGAR, VANILLA & MILK.
3. IN A SEPARATE BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER FLOUR, BAKING SODA & SALT.
4. GRADUALLY ADD DRY MIXTURE TO WET AND BEAT UNTIL BLENDED.
5. FORM INTO 1” BALLS.
6. ROLL IN SUGAR & PLACE 2 INCHES APART ON GREASED COOKIE SHEET.
7. BAKE 10-12 MINUTES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
8. IMMEDIATELY, PRESS AN UPSIDE DOWN FROZEN REESE’S CUP ON TOP OF
EACH COOKIE AND MOVE TO WIRE RACK TO COOL.
9. PLACE CANDY EYES WHILE CHOCOLATE IS STILL FAIRLY SOFT.
10. PLACE IN REFRIGERATOR FOR 10 MINUTES TO ALLOW COOKIES TO FIRM.
11. PUT CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN THE CORNER OF ZIPLOCK SANDWICH BAG.
12. MICROWAVE 20 SECONDS AND REPEAT UNTIL CHOCOLATE IS MELTED.
13. SNIP CORNER OF BAG FOR PIPING AND DRAW SPIDER LEGS ON COOKIES.
14. PLACE IN REFRIGERATOR 10 MINUTES TO ALLOW LEGS TO SET. ENJOY!!
